The story behind these two paintings is about a connection that survives distance. I wanted the physical separation between the canvases to become part of the story. Sometimes relationships go through distance, change, misunderstandings, or chapters where two people seem to lose one another. The thorns on the rose represent all the hurt they may have caused each other along the way. But some connections remain underneath all of it. Somehow, no matter how far apart life carries them, they keep finding their way back to each other.
